Palm Sunday, April 2
Each service will include a reading of the entire story of Jesus' suffering and death by multiple readers. We'll begin the 8:30 service outdoors as we recall Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. At 10:00 we'll reenact that event with our friends from neighboring churches on the museum grounds across College Drive from our parking lot. Jesus will lead the procession on a pony and we'll follow singing and waving our palm branches. The 10:30 service will also be livestreamed to our Facebook page.

Maundy Thursday, April 66:00 Agape Meal
6:30 Worship Service At 6:00 we'll gather for an Agape Meal - bring fruit, cheese, bread, and wine or grape juice to share. Then at 6:30 we'll move into the church for our service. We'll experience the final of Jesus' Seven Last Words, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." What would you like to commend into God's hands? Then we'll share the Eucharist, remembering Jesus' Last Supper. We'll end by stripping the altar in preparation for Good Friday. |
Good Friday, April 76:00 pm Tenebrae and Jesus' Seven Last Words
The Service of Shadows reenacts the gathering darkness as Jesus suffered and died on the cross. We'll hear meditations on the words Jesus spoke from the cross and we'll each have a chance to make our own devotions at the cross, driving in a nail if we choose. Join us in person or on Facebook. |
Easter Day!
10:00 Festive Indoor Service, Covered-Dish Brunch, and Easter Egg Hunt
Join us in person or online for a jubilant service in our sanctuary. The children will flower the cross before the service, so bring flowers from your yard to share. We'll ring bells each time we declare, "Alleluia!" and the sermon will be interactive. We'll receive communion in joy. Then we'll move down to the parish hall for a covered-dish brunch together; feel free to bring a dish to share or come as our guest - there's always plenty of food. While the adults linger over desserts, the young people will head to the playground to hunt for eggs. It's going to be a great day! |
